Love the throttle thumb switch, it’s not the twisting on the handle style that can be uncomfortable on the wrist. Very easy to assemble just exactly How the video has shown. Had it for about a month now, I have nothing to complain about :D!

As a petite rider with a previous injury, finding the right e-bike was a challenge. I needed something foldable for my limited storage, yet powerful enough to carry my 9kg dog on camping trips. After a weekend of heavy use, here is my honest feedback.

Performance & Real-world Range:
I recently completed a 36km ride carrying myself, my dog, and all our gear—a total payload of approximately 75kg.
• Outbound: I mostly used Level 1 assist on flatter terrain.
• Return: The route had several slight inclines, so I bumped it up to Levels 2 and 3.
By the end of the 36km trip, the battery had only dropped two bars. For a bike with fat tires carrying this much weight, I am incredibly satisfied with the battery efficiency and range.

Built Like a Tank:
This bike feels exceptionally solid and robust. When I took it to a local bike shop for a suspension upgrade, the mechanics and other customers were all praising the build quality. It feels safe and stable, which is non-negotiable for regional exploration.

Custom Comfort & Service:
The motor delivery is smooth and predictable—no "jerking," which helps manage my old injury. The customer service was outstanding; they sourced a specific sweep-back handlebar from the factory to fix my wrist positioning. Paired with a suspension seat post I added, the ride is now 10/10 for comfort.

The Challenges (Weight & Rack):
• Weight: It is a heavy bike for me. (But still lighter compare to other same level’s ebike) I cannot lift it alone, but the folding feature is a necessity for my small storage space.
• Rear Rack: This is the only real downside. The geometry is quite unique and "difficult." Standard systems like MIK simply do not fit, so be prepared to get creative if you want to mount a dog basket.

Great little bike. Easy to fold and store the power assist is fantastic with 5 settings it makes mountains into flat roads. For a small bike it handles incredibly well and lasts really well even in high power settings. For me 20psi is the best trye pressure.

I'm very pleased with my Wallaby electric trike as it's excellent quality, travels well, I'd recommend it to anyone. Our dog loves it to, he travels in the box I added to it, we do 25 kms most mornings. A great start to the day.

Great service and an extremely well made bike. Ethan was great in quickly answering all of my queries and that made the decision to order it very simple. I've been a keen cyclist all of my life, but health issues have made cycling on two wheels just too difficult for me. So I was really thrilled to be able to change to three wheels and return to riding. The bike rides very well and is easy to use, even if you are new to cycling.
I would offer a few tips. When you open the box to put the bike together. As soon as you have all of the extra bits out of the box then pull the bike upright so that it's standing up on the rear cargo cage. This will make it much easier to get to everything. Once you have the front wheel on it then drop it down on to the wheels.
Also, when you first start riding it, have to tyres well pumped up at 30psi and the seat set low. This will make the bike much more stable and less prone to follow the camber of a road/path. You can raise the seat height as you become used to it.

But I'm loving being back on a bike!

It’s changed my life. I am in love with my new Miniwave. It allows me to get to and from my workplace with ease . It saves fuel and is great exercise 😃. Being peddle assist ,with various assist levels ,i can get great exercise and not have to worry about the hills which would otherwise have stopped me from riding. The bike is very sturdy and rides well on low assist which is great for my exercise. I am so glad I made the purchase . We have just purchased our second Miniwave folding ebike from Ethan at Ridewave. We were so impressed with the first bike and the friendly service that we decided having 2 bikes for travelling in the caravan would be good exercise and fun for both of us. Ordered 1 day - delivered the next - exceptional delivery. Unfortunately the second bike had a loose pedal so after contacting Ethan a replacement pedal arrived within 2 days - grest backup service. Would highly recommend this company and their bikes.

Everything about the miniwave I found was intuitive and user-friendly, even if you’ve never ridden an e-bike before. The controls are simple, the display is clear, and adjusting the settings feels effortless.

It's a very smooth and comfortable the ride. As a beginner on ebikes and quite out of condition, I found this a wonderful way to get back into exercise. The pedal assist is nice and responsive without being overwhelming and longer distances feel completely manageable.

Having 2 people to unpack and set it up would be good, however it is manageable by yourself.
It’s honestly a fantastic option for riders of any experience level. Reliable, comfortable, and just really enjoyable to ride—I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering an e-bike!

I always wanted to give it a try on ebikes and this came up. I went to the shop and test drove it and what can I say and up buying it haha. I went to different shops and comparing the price tag to the quality this one wins them all at this price tag. The frame is great not too heavy well finished, battery thanks to Samsung its amazing been riding it for an hour and I only saw one percent drop crazy. The motor has great power it assists you well when going faster especially uphill you dont even feel it. I'm sooo happy with the purchase both one for my wife too she would love it.

I bought this bike a couple of weeks ago and absolutely love it. Its great for tackiling the hills where i live around The Latrobe valley...Highly recommend this bike.

I’ve been riding my new e-bike for a few weeks now and it has completely changed my daily commute. The ride is smooth, quiet, and surprisingly powerful when going up hills. What I love most is how natural the pedal assist feels—it still feels like cycling, just with the perfect boost when you need it.

The battery life has been excellent as well. I can easily cover my regular trips during the week without worrying about charging all the time. It’s also incredibly comfortable and stable, even on longer rides.

Overall, it’s been a fantastic experience. It makes getting around faster, more fun, and much less tiring. I’d definitely recommend an e-bike to anyone looking for a convenient and enjoyable way to commute or explore the city.

I needed a foldup ebike to take travelling in our caravan. This ebike fits all the criteria - it's light weight, easy to foldup and rides extremely well with the thicker 3" tyres. It looks great and well balanced while I am riding it. Ethan from Ridewave was so helpful and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend this company and this ebike.

Absolutely loving this trike so much I have just purchased a second one for our family. Perfect for getting around in our little town and transporting dogs and kids and shopping! So easy to ride and makes the routine grocery or park trip so much fun.

I love this basket it’s perfect sizing and it’s made with high quality fittings and material. The basket simply clicks into place and off you go.

This is such a surprise package of an e-bike. I'm using it instead of driving our second car, in a mix of street, cycle path and train travel. There's plenty of power and perfect gearing for quick acceleration to join other traffic and to climb ramps and hills. So far I have ranged by Miniwave and train links from Parramatta and adjacent suburbs to Hornsby and Sydney CBD (26km) with ease. It is such an enjoyable, economical (no petrol, tolls or fines!) and trouble free way to get around greater Sydney! Plus, everyone seems to love the bike and the colour!
The compact dimensions make the the Miniwave an easy fit when catching the train, folding into the boot of our Tesla Model 3, riding a lift, or sitting at the local Cafe. Manoeuvring on cycle paths and in crowded pedestrian areas is a breeze. For night travel, the lights are excellent. With the usual cycling wet-weather gear, e-biking in light and moderate rain has been very comfortable too.
The luggage racks are light, capacious and sturdy. A caution here is that the front rack is fixed to the bike frame, limiting bike folding, and restricting manoeuvrability in confined spaces, so we are removing it for general use.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the Miniwave, and with the opportunities it opens up for enjoying Sydney by e-bike.

as unable to test drive prior to purchase and Ridewave replied to all queries efficiently and patiently .Great to see you now have a cargo bag for Trikes. Would love a pet carrier too.

Bought my trik from Ridewave. Great service while and after purchase of my trik. Just had my second long ride, really loved it. I'm 75 years old and find the trik safe and easy to ride, can highly recommend Ridewaves and their trips.
